第二次奉獻-為中國和巴基斯坦水災災民募捐

過去數週，中國和巴基斯坦均受洪水影響。中國近億人民飽受水災煎熬；至於巴基斯坦，則經歷史上最嚴重的洪災，至今受災民眾已逾三百萬人，死亡人數超過一千四百人。湯漢主教籲請信友為災民及救援人員祈禱，並慷慨解囊。今天各台公開彌撒將為以上目的舉行第二次募捐，請給予支持。


第廿六屆普世青年節香港教區團

第廿六屆普世青年節將於2011年8月於西班牙馬德里舉行。教區青年牧民委員會現正接受18至35歲的青年報名，截止報名日期9月30日。詳情請參閱海報或向麥神父查詢。

聖雲先會

上主日聖堂門口募捐為港幣4,760元。上月總支出港幣2,300.30元，包括支付大澳一名長者之平安鐘月費；資助一個愉景灣家庭的救濟金；購買探訪兩個梅窩安老院及五位坪洲長者家庭的禮物。餘數由聖雲先中央分會用來資助其他有需要的家庭。聖雲先會在此感謝各位的慷慨捐助。


Second Collection - Fund-raising for Flood Victims in China and Pakistan

In recent weeks, China and Pakistan have been hard hit by flooding. Floods across China have affected at least a hundred million people. As for Pakistan, the worst floods within memory have affected more than three million people so far and claimed the lives of more than 1,400 people. Bishop John Tong is appealing to the faithful to pray for the victims and the rescuers, and to make generous donations in aid of them. For this purpose a second collection will be taken up at all the masses this weekend. Your generosity will be highly appreciated.


Society of St. Vincent de Paul

Church door collections last weekend amounted to HK$4,760.00. A total of HK$2,300.30 was spent in paying for the safety bell subscriptions for an elderly person in Tai O, relief for a family in Discovery Bay, gifts for visits to two aged homes in Mui Wo and to five elderly people in Peng Chau. Balance of funds will be used by Central Council of the Society to help other needy families in the Diocese. Thank you very much for your generosity.


GOOD HABITS WITH MONEY

An Enrich participatory workshop will be held in English on Sunday, 12th September, 2010 from 12:00 noon to 4:00pm, venue in DB yet to be decided depending on the number of registrations received.
Enrich is a HK based registered charity specializing in providing financial literacy training to migrant workers. Enrich's training equips participants with the knowledge and motivation to calculate their financial situations, make and implement a budget and savings plan, get out of debt and have a greater say in family decisions. Enrich aims to empower women to take a greater control of their lives, secure their future and raise their standard of living.
