第二次捐獻：為教育日

按照教區慣例，本年9月26日定為「教育日」，主題為「我認識我的羊，我的羊也認識我」。今天彌撒中會為以上目的進行第二次募捐，請慷慨支持。


第廿六屆普世青年節香港教區團

第廿六屆普世青年節將於2011年8月於西班牙馬德里舉行。教區青年牧民委員會現正接受18至35歲的青年報名，截止報名日期9月30日。詳情請向麥神父查詢。


堂區朝聖之旅

主顯堂堂區將於10月1日(星期五，公眾假期)舉行朝聖活動，參觀基督之母堂及聖歐爾發堂。當日上午9:00正在東涌巴士總站集合，大約下午5:00回程。票價為每位港幣100元正，包括旅遊車及午餐費用，今天彌撒後開始售票。


主顯堂堂區牧民議會週年大會

主顯堂堂區牧民議會是由堂區內的所有小堂代表組成。每三個月就會聚在一起分享及互相支持每個小堂的牧民工作。以建立本堂為一個充滿信、望、愛三德的團體。我們本年的週年大會將於10月10日 (星期日)下午1:45在梅窩主顯小堂舉行，歡迎所有教友出席參與。

現議會內有三位幹事任期界滿，因此在本次的牧民議會中，必須選出新的主席、副主席及秘書各職。如果您願意擔當以上的職位為堂區服務或欲了解更多有關職位的工作需要，請與麥神父或 Teresa Tsang 9098 3343 聯絡。

牧民議會是代表你的團體，極需要你們的支持。


2010香港明愛賣物會

本堂區將參與在長洲北帝廟廣場舉行的明愛賣物會，日期是11月21日星期日上午10:00至下午5:00。現誠邀教友鼎力支持，親自到場做善事兼暢遊長洲。現堂區呼籲教友捐贈禮品，如新的電器及家庭用品，作為攤位抽獎遊戲的獎品。禮品可交給曾太Teresa Tsang。另外，當日亦需大量義工，我們會為義工提供免費午餐與一程交通。有意當義工者，請聯絡曾太Teresa Tsang：9098-3343 / 2987-6503。

明愛慈善抽獎券將於所有主日彌撒後有售，每張$20，請教友踴躍支持，共襄善舉。


聖雲先會

10月3日彌撒後在禮堂門外籌集善款，請慷慨解囊。每月例會將在10月10日星期日上午11:30在1D康頤閣小堂舉行。


十月聖母玫瑰月

教友在十月及其他時間都應熱心頌唸玫瑰經。玫瑰經文是以基督為中心、概括福音的全部訊息的經文，是彌撒聖祭外的完美補充禱文。每位教友都應隨身携帶玫瑰經文唸珠，以便隨時及有需要時頌唸。聖母軍成員將於十月派發教導如何頌唸玫瑰經的小冊子。如果你沒有玫瑰經文唸珠的話，可向他們索取。


Second Collection: Education Day

In accordance with the practice of our diocese, 26th September is observed as Education Day. Our theme this year is “I know my own sheep and my own know me”. For this purpose there will be a second collection. Your generosity will be highly appreciated.


The 26th World Youth Day Hong Kong Delegation

The 26th World Youth Day will be held in Madrid, Spain in August 2011. It is now open for application until 30th September for young people aged between 18 and 35. For further information, please contact Fr. Metz.


Parish Pilgrimage

We are going to have our Parish Pilgrimage on Friday, 1st October (public holiday). We will gather at Tung Chung Bus Terminal at 9:00am, visit the Mother of Christ Church and St. Alfred’s Church, and return around 5:00pm. Tickets are $100 each, including lunch and transportation, and can be purchased after mass.


Peng Chau Feast Day

The Peng Chau Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel Feast Day will be held on Sunday, 3rd October. There will be a Procession at 2:00pm and Holy Mass at 3:00pm celebrated by Rev. Dominic Chan, VG, at the Peng Chau Stadium. Performances will follow after the mass. Dinner will be at 6:30pm. Tickets will be sold after mass at $50 each.


The Epiphany Parish Pastoral Council Annual General Meeting

The Epiphany Parish Pastoral Council comprises of representatives from all the mass centres in the Epiphany Parish. We meet once every three months to share and support each other's work and to build up the parish as a community of faith, hope and love. Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election of council members will take place on 10th October 2010 at 1:45 pm in Epiphany Chapel, Mui Wo. All parishioners are welcome to attend.

Three council officers' tenure will expire, there will therefore be an election for a new chairperson, a new vice-chairperson and a new secretary at the AGM. If you are willing to serve in any capacity or would like to find out more, please contact Fr. Metz or Mrs. Teresa Tsang at 9098 3343. The Council is your representative body and needs your support.


2010 Caritas Fund Raising Bazaar

The 2010 Caritas Fund Raising Bazaars will be held in November at six locations in Hong Kong. Our Parish will take part in the bazaar on Sunday, 21st November, 2010 at Pak Tai Temple Playground in Cheung Chau, from 10am – 5pm. We are appealing to all to donate brand new quality gifts for the Lucky Draw game. Electrical appliances are the most popular. Please hand gifts to Edgelina (6pm mass), Theresa Saromines (8am and 10:30am mass) or Teresa Tsang (9am mass). If you can be a stall volunteer, please contact Teresa at 9098 3343 or 2987 6503.You can also show your support for charity by attending the bazaar. There will be stalls selling Christmas decorations, porcelain, household items and clothing at bargain prices.

Caritas raffle tickets continue to be on sale for $20 each after all the masses. Please support this cause.


Society of St Vincent de Paul

The Society of St Vincent de Paul will have church door collections on 2nd and 3rd October 2010. Our monthly meeting will be held on Sunday, 10th October, at 11:30am in the Trinity Chapel, 1D Glamour Court.


October is the month of The Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy Rosary

All Catholics are strongly encouraged to pray the Rosary daily during October and throughout their lives. The Rosary is a Christocentric prayer, with the depth of the Gospel message in its entirety and is the perfect complement to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It is hoped that every Catholic always has the Rosary prayer beads on him/her at all times. Members of The Legion of Mary will be handing out guides on how to pray the Rosary after mass during October. If you do not have the Rosary prayer beads, please do request one from any member of the Legion.
