默想︰

耶穌在今天的福音告訴我們：做祂的門徒，須滿全三個條件。
第一、要為祂而準備好捨棄一切。天主賜給我們很多美物，包括可愛的人物，如：我們的父親、母親、配偶、子女、兄弟姐妹等等。我們要珍惜所有天賜的恩物。這第一要求，不是要我們視父母、配偶、子女、兄弟姐妹如無物，而是要準備好放棄任何阻礙我們親近耶穌的一切。

第二、要有實現偉大理想的願望。基督徒必須熱愛生命，要有追求將生命活得圓滿的夢想。天主賦予我們很多才華，待我們善用，將生命活得精彩。

最後，要做個出色的門徒，不但要作好準備，靈活地將理想實現，還要小心謹慎。如此才能有周詳的計劃，去善用天賦的才華。面對挑戰，必須審慎精明地去作正確的選擇。與邪惡交戰，須審慎精明，才能得勝。

願上主我們的天主給我們廣施仁風，
求祢促使我們的工作順利成功。

Meditation

In today’s Gospel reading Jesus tells us about three requirements we have to fulfill in order to become His disciples.
The first of these requirements is readiness to renounce everything for Christ. A father, a mother, a spouse, children, siblings and our life are wonderful gifts from God. We cannot despise them or treat them with contempt. However, we must be ready to sacrifice them if they would separate us from Jesus.

The second condition of our discipleship to Jesus is willingness to achieve great goals. A Christian must be passionate about his life. He should have dreams. He should live his life to the fullest. He must be generous and energetic. We have been given many talents to accomplish our life and win a good fight.

Finally, a good disciple of Jesus is not only ready for sacrifice and creative to accomplish great goals but he also must be prudent. It is prudence that helps us to set our plans and tells us how to use talents and gifts that we have received from God. We must be prudent in order to make right choices when we face challenges. Prudence is necessary when we want to win our battle against evil.


Let the favour of the Lord be upon us: give success to the work of our hands.
