2010年傳教節慶典
香港教區傳教節定於今天下午2:30至5:00，於銅鑼灣香港大球場舉行。已登記乘搭旅遊巴之教友，請帶備門票於今天下午1:00到達東涌巴士總站 (愉景灣巴士站附近) 集合，逾時不候。
喜宴
請來參加名為「喜宴」的讚頌、朝拜上主的教導活動。這活動將於10月24日星期日下午2:45至4:45在東涌天主教學校四樓禮堂舉行。請携帶家庭成員及親友參加這快樂的活動，接受祝福。
敬禮聖母及誦唸玫瑰經
梅窩主顯小堂將於10月30日星期六舉行郊遊，詳情如下：
(1）集合地點：東涌伯公坳郊野公園。
(2）時間：上午10:30至大約下午1:30
(3）午餐：午餐將在長沙教友Joseph 羅先生家中。
(4）備註：請攜帶足夠的水，太陽帽及唸珠等和穿上行山服裝。

2010香港明愛賣物會
本堂區將參與在長洲北帝廟廣場舉行的明愛賣物會，日期是11月21日星期日上午10:00至下午5:00。現誠邀教友鼎力支持，親自到場做善事兼暢遊長洲。現堂區呼籲教友捐贈禮品，如新的電器及家庭用品，作為攤位抽獎遊戲的獎品。請各彌撒中心先行收集捐贈禮品。另外，當日亦需大量義工，我們會為義工提供免費午餐與一程交通。有意當義工者，請聯絡曾太Teresa Tsang：9098-3343 / 2987-6503。明愛慈善抽獎券將於所有主日彌撒後繼續出售，每張$20，請教友踴躍支持，共襄善舉。
第二次奉獻：為傳教節慶典募捐
上主日各台彌撒籌得款項共4,464.6元，多謝大家慷慨支持。
十月聖母玫瑰月
教友在十月及其他時間都應熱心頌唸玫瑰經。玫瑰經文是以基督為中心、概括福音的全部訊息的經文，是彌撒聖祭外的完美補充禱文。每位教友都應隨身携帶玫瑰經文唸珠，以便隨時及有需要時頌唸。聖母軍成員將於十月派發教導如何頌唸玫瑰經的小冊子。如果你沒有玫瑰經文唸珠的話，可向他們索取。

Mission Sunday Celebration
The Diocese of Hong Kong will celebrate Mission Sunday today, 17th October 2010, from 2:30pm to 5pm at Hong Kong Stadium, Causeway Bay. For those who have registered to take the bus, please be at Tung Chung Bus Terminus (next to Discovery Bay Bus Stop) at 1pm. Bring your ticket and please be punctual.
THE FEAST
All are invited to attend a Praise and Worship and Teaching Event called THE FEAST. This will be held on Sunday, 24th October, 2:45-4:45pm, 4/F Hall, Tung Chung Catholic School. Please bring your family and friends to one of the happiest places on earth. Come and be blessed.
Outing for Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary
Mui Wo Epiphany Chapel is going to have an outing from 10:30am to 1:30pm, on Saturday, October 30, 2010, for devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary by praying the Rosary. We will gather at the Tung Chung Pak Kung Au Country Park and have lunch in Mr. Joseph Law’s house in Chang Sha. Please bring adequate water, sun cap, Rosary, etc., and wear hiking attire. 2010 Caritas Fund Raising Bazaar
The 2010 Caritas Fund Raising Bazaars will be held in November at six locations in Hong Kong. Our Parish will take part in the bazaar on Sunday, 21st November 2010, at Pak Tai Temple Playground in Cheung Chau, from 10am – 5pm. We are appealing to all to donate brand new quality gifts for the Lucky Draw game. Electrical appliances are the most popular. Please hand gifts to Edgelina (6pm mass), Theresa Saromines (8am and 10:30am mass) or Teresa Tsang (9am mass). If you can be a stall volunteer, please contact Teresa at 9098 3343 or 2987 6503. You can also show your support for charity by attending the bazaar. There will be stalls selling Christmas decorations, porcelain, household items and clothing at bargain prices. Caritas raffle tickets continue to be on sale for $20 each after all the masses. Please support this cause.
Collections for Mission Sunday
Collections in DB last weekend raised $4,464.60 to support the expenses of Mission Sunday. Thank you for your generosity.
October is the month of The Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy Rosary
All Catholics are strongly encouraged to pray the Rosary daily during October and throughout their lives. The Rosary is a Christocentric prayer, with the depth of the Gospel message in its entirety and is the perfect complement to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It is hoped that every Catholic always has the Rosary prayer beads on him/her at all times. Members of The Legion of Mary will be handing out guides on how to pray the Rosary after mass during October. If you do not have the Rosary prayer beads, please do request one from any member of the Legion.
