默想︰
在科學領域，證明了的才是可信的。科學的巨大成就，使其方法也不自覺地被拿來處理信仰問題：天主若讓我真實地看到，或給我一個明顯的奇蹟，我就會死心塌地的相信，毫不保留的奉獻！
多默宗徒雖未受科學思潮的影響，他的話卻反映了不少現代人對待信仰的態度：我信，如果我看見，並用我的手、我的指頭試探過。多默認為他人的作證不可靠，他要的是自己親自的經驗。當初，其他門徒們見到耶穌時，多默不同他們在一起，可能就是在自己找證據。
沒錯，信仰最終需要個人對天主的經驗，但這種經驗不是科學性的證明，而是接受信仰後，藉著祈禱在生活中對天主的不斷覺悟。多謝耶穌的提醒，祂對多默說的話也是為後世所有人講的：信的出發點不是我，也不是我的證明；信，首先是團體的經驗 我們從團體（教會）接受信仰，也在團體中成長。宗徒大事錄記載，初期的基督徒們的信仰經驗也首先是團體性的：他們聆聽宗徒的見證，時常團聚，一起擘餅祈禱。
慈悲的救主，請軟化我的心硬，賜給我信德！

A week has passed since we celebrated the great feast of Easter Sunday. Time passes, and we are moving slowly towards the next great feast, the feast of Pentecost, when we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit. Time passes, but the joy of Easter should never pass. Each time we celebrate the Eucharist we celebrate many things. We celebrate the Lord's last supper with his disciples. In sacramental form we celebrate the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross. We celebrate the mystery of faith and God's divine mercy.
In the Eucharist, we receive the sacrament of the Body and Blood of Jesus and so are more closely united with his Mystical Body the Church, both in a visible communitarian manner as we participate in the community celebration, but also in a mystical manner in the depths of our heart and soul. Mysticism is the fullness of faith, hope and love. Therefore as well as celebrating the mystery of faith, we celebrate the sacrament of love and we celebrate the fount of all our Christianity. The great graces of faith, hope and love keep alive and foster the joy of Easter.
Lord Jesus, in the Eucharist draw us closer to you so that we will know you more clearly, love you more dearly, follow you more closely and so continuously live the joy of the Resurrection.
