坪洲和平之后小堂謹向所有弟兄姊妹致謝。感謝您們熱心參與10月3日的主保瞻禮，在坪洲小島上光榮天主。聖母像出遊時旗幟飄揚，誦經聲及歌聲響遍坪洲小島，充滿歡欣！參與的教友、非教友及在旁觀看的街坊都分享到天主教信仰的平安和喜樂！主保瞻禮得以順利進行﹐全賴您們的支持和參與，求聖神繼續賜予我們力量為主作證，傳揚福音。願主賜福予您和您的家人。
第二次奉獻：為傳教節慶典募捐
湯漢主教定於本主日的各台公開彌撒舉行第二次募捐，以資助香港教區本年於10月17日在香港大球場舉行的傳教節慶典各項費用，請慷慨支持。
主顯堂堂區牧民議會週年大會
主顯堂堂區牧民議會是由堂區內的所有小堂代表組成。每三個月就會聚在一起分享及互相支持每個小堂的牧民工作。以建立本堂為一個充滿信、望、愛三德的團體。我們本年的週年大會將於今天下午1:45在梅窩主顯小堂舉行，歡迎所有教友出席參與。
現議會內有三位幹事任期界滿，因此在本次的牧民議會中，必須選出新的主席、副主席及秘書各職。如果您願意擔當以上的職位為堂區服務或欲了解更多有關職位的工作需要，請與麥神父或 Teresa Tsang 9098 3343 聯絡。牧民議會是代表你的團體，極需要你們的支持。
2010年傳教節慶典
香港教區傳教節定於 10月17日（主日）下午2:30至5:00，於銅鑼灣香港大球場舉行。本堂區擬安排旅遊巴士在當日下午1:00由東涌巴士總站 (即愉景灣巴士站) 出發。如有興趣參加之教友，敬請留意，有關入場門劵將稍後在堂區發放。歡迎各位踴躍參加！
喜宴
請來參加名為「喜宴」的讚頌、朝拜上主的教導活動。這活動將於10月24日下午2:45至4:45在東涌天主教學校四樓禮堂舉行。請携帶家庭成員及親友參加這快樂的活動，接受祝福。
2010香港明愛賣物會
本堂區將參與在長洲北帝廟廣場舉行的明愛賣物會，日期是11月21日星期日上午10:00至下午5:00。現誠邀教友鼎力支持，親自到場做善事兼暢遊長洲。現堂區呼籲教友捐贈禮品，如新的電器及家庭用品，作為攤位抽獎遊戲的獎品。禮品可交給曾太Teresa Tsang。另外，當日亦需大量義工，我們會為義工提供免費午餐與一程交通。有意當義工者，請聯絡曾太Teresa Tsang：9098-3343 / 2987-6503。明愛慈善抽獎券將於所有主日彌撒後繼續出售，每張$20，請教友踴躍支持，共襄善舉。
聖雲先會
上主日聖堂門口募捐為港幣3,341.50元。上月總支出共港幣2,290.60元，包括支付一名大澳長者之平安鐘月費及購買探訪兩個梅窩安老院和十位居住在坪洲之長者家庭禮物。聖雲先會在此感謝各位的慷慨捐助。每月例會將在今天上午11:30在1D康頤閣小堂舉行。
愉景灣跳蚤市場聖三小堂攤位
聖三小堂將於今天正午12:00至下午5:00在愉景灣跳蚤市場設立攤位，藉此讓愉景灣社區居民得悉我們團體的所在及我們現在及將來的活動。如你們在當天能抽出大約半小時空閑時間，歡迎前來攤位幫手。請聯絡 Albert Chan〔電話：2914 1857〕或 Georgina Creally 〔電話：2987 0130〕以作安排。
十月聖母玫瑰月
教友在十月及其他時間都應熱心頌唸玫瑰經。玫瑰經文是以基督為中心、概括福音的全部訊息的經文，是彌撒聖祭外的完美補充禱文。每位教友都應隨身携帶玫瑰經文唸珠，以便隨時及有需要時頌唸。聖母軍成員將於十月派發教導如何頌唸玫瑰經的小冊子。如果你沒有玫瑰經文唸珠的話，可向他們索取。
The Epiphany Parish Pastoral Council Annual General Meeting
The Epiphany Parish Pastoral Council, comprised of representatives from all the mass centres in the Epiphany Parish, meets once every three months to share and support each other's work and to build up the parish as a community of faith, hope and love. Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election of council members will take place on 10th October 2010 at 1:45 pm in Epiphany Chapel, Mui Wo. All parishioners are welcome to attend. Three council officers' tenure will expire, there will therefore be an election for a new chairperson, a new vice-chairperson and a new secretary at the AGM. If you are willing to serve in any capacity or would like to find out more, please contact Fr. Metz or Mrs. Teresa Tsang at 9098 3343. The Council is your representative body and needs your support.

The Peng Chau community would like to express our thanks for your support and attendance during our Feast Day celebration. Second Collection in Support of Mission Sunday Celebration
Bishop John Tong is asking parishes to take up a second collection at all public Masses this weekend in order to meet expenses of this year’s Mission Sunday Celebration on 17th October at the Hong Kong Stadium. Your generosity will be highly appreciated.
Mission Sunday Celebration
The Diocese of Hong Kong will celebrate Mission Sunday on 17th October 2010, from 2:30pm to 5pm at Hong Kong Stadium, Causeway Bay. Coaches have been arranged at Tung Chung Town Centre Bus Terminus (next to Discovery Bay Bus Stop) at 1pm to bring parishioners to the Stadium. Those who would like to join this event, please note that entrance tickets will be issued later in the parish. All are welcome.
THE FEAST
All are invited to attend a Praise and Worship and Teaching Event called THE FEAST. This will be held on Sunday, 24th October, 2:45-4:45pm, 4/F Hall, Tung Chung Catholic School. Please bring your family and friends to one of the happiest places on earth. Come and be blessed.
2010 Caritas Fund Raising Bazaar
The 2010 Caritas Fund Raising Bazaars will be held in November at six locations in Hong Kong. Our Parish will take part in the bazaar on Sunday, 21st November 2010 at Pak Tai Temple Playground in Cheung Chau, from 10am – 5pm. We are appealing to all to donate brand new quality gifts for the Lucky Draw game. Electrical appliances are the most popular. Please hand gifts to Edgelina (6pm mass), Theresa Saromines (8am and 10:30am mass) or Teresa Tsang (9am mass). If you can be a stall volunteer, please contact Teresa at 9098 3343 or 2987 6503.You can also show your support for charity by attending the bazaar. There will be stalls selling Christmas decorations, porcelain, household items and clothing at bargain prices. Caritas raffle tickets continue to be on sale for $20 each after all the masses. Please support this cause.
Society of St Vincent de Paul
Churchdoor collections last weekend amounted to HK$3,341.50. A total of $2,290.60 was spent in helping to pay for safety bell subscriptions for an elderly person in Tai O, and for buying gifts for two elderly homes in Mui Wo and also for home visits to ten elderly people in Peng Chau and Tung Chung. The balance will be used by the Central Council of the Society to help other needy families in the Diocese. Thank you very much for your generosity. Our monthly meeting will be held on Sunday, 10th October, at 11:30am in the Trinity Chapel, 1D Glamour Court.
October is the month of The Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy Rosary
All Catholics are strongly encouraged to pray the Rosary daily during October and throughout their lives. The Rosary is a Christocentric prayer, with the depth of the Gospel message in its entirety and is the perfect complement to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It is hoped that every Catholic always has the Rosary prayer beads on him/her at all times. Members of The Legion of Mary will be handing out guides on how to pray the Rosary after mass during October. If you do not have the Rosary prayer beads, please do request one from any member of the Legion.
Trinity Chapel Stall at the DB Flea Market
Trinity Chapel will have a stall from 12 noon to 5pm at the DB Flea Market this Sunday, 10th October. This is an opportunity to let the wider community in DB know where we are and what present and future activities we have. If you are free for half an hour, please come and help.
